Our Value Chain

EMS's towing vessels and tank barges transit the Gulf Intrascoastal Waterway (ICW), as well as the Mississippi River and its tributaries, transporting all bulk petroleum liquid cargos. EMS specializes in the transportation of petroleum products such as petrochemicals, refined products, black oils, and pressurized products.

EMS owns and operates two shipyard facilities and a gas-free plant. The Houma facility, located at the ICW and Houma Navigational Intersection, provides gas free services, barge dry dock services, and topside vessel repairs. The Morgan City facility, located on the east side of the Bayou Bouef Locks, offers tug and barge dry dock services, as well as topside vessel repairs.

EMS also operates a vessel fleeting facility in Channelview, Texas adjacent to the Houston Ship Channel.
